Bally’s A.C. to Bring to the Jersey Shore

It’s all part of a $1.5 million renovation that will include the first mechanical bull ride at an Atlantic City casino.

The upgrade is designed to eliminate out-of-date parts of the western-themed Wild Wild West Casino. Animatronic people — including two hookers beckoning from the Lillie Mae’s Social Club bordello — and animals that no longer work will get the boot.

Casino officials say there are no longer any repair personnel who can fix them.
“The Wild Wild West Casino is a much loved and important part of the Bally’s brand,” said Joe Domenico, the casino’s senior vice president and general manager of Bally’s Atlantic City. “This project provides us the opportunity to bring our entertainment, nightlife and gaming opportunities to a new level without diminishing the charm and essence found at the Wild Wild West Casino.”

Part of that charm and essence will come from an area with 12 tables set up for beer pong, in which contestants try to bounce pingpong balls into cups of beer and make opposing players drink when they score.
New slot machines and table games will be added as part of the project, which begins next month and should be finished before July 4.

The western theme will live on, though, with a stage where country and other types of bands will play free concerts.

Bally’s spent $110 million to build the Wild Wild West, which opened in 1997 and was Atlantic City’s first themed casino.

There’s another mechanical bull in a sports bar inside The Pier Shops at Caesars, a non-casino shopping and entertainment complex.

How To Build A Nintendo Mario Beer Pong Table

The March issue of Maxim Magazine recently hit newstands across the world, and with it came a seven-page feature article covering this past January’s WSOBP V tournament.

The article, entitled “Beer and Gloating In Las Vegas” spans pages 70-76 of the issue which also features the ridiculous hotness of Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco (we’d love to see her handle a few balls).  Penned by Josh Eells, a freelance writer whose client list includes Blender and Spin, the spread features a bevy of action shots from veteran photographer Matt Salacuse and contains a detailed recap of the three-day event including heretofore unpublished insights into Ron Hamilton’s family life (you know you want to know how he’s been spending all that cash), as well as some highlights of other beer pong celebrities such as SoCal Beer Pong founder Peter Rusch and Vince Bolhuis of 2nd place finishers Since Sliced Bread.

The issue hit stands Feb. 16th and can be found in magazine racks across the country.  It is also now available online.  Every pong player owes it to themselves to go out and pick up a copy of beer pong history.  Right on, Maxim.
