Beer Pong Keeps These White House Staffers Entertained

. The event, which is sponsored by Doyle Brunson’s online poker site DoylesRoom, will see some of the top names in our industry try their hand at an old frat party favorite.

UB.com pro Phil Hellmuth and Absolute Poker diva Trishelle Cannatella will serve as the emcees of the Brunson Beer Pong Invitational and use a bullhorn to provide commentary. The staff at Pokerati has been tasked with creating a bracket and the field is invite-only, although anyone interested in watching their favorite poker pros drink beer can come out and watch. Up for grabs are a BBQ and trophies, among other prizes.

Brunson will team with fellow DoylesRoom pro Zachary “CrazyZachary” Clark, the nephew of the late Chip Reese. Brunson’s son Todd will also be in attendance and pair with one of the online poker world’s legends, Brett “gank” Jungblut. Also representing DoylesRoom is Brunson 10 member Steve “gboro780” Gross, who sits atop the PocketFives.com Online Poker Rankings and will team with Hoyt Corkins on Wednesday in the beer pong extravaganza.

Two of the first couples of poker will compete, Erica Schoenberg and Erick Lindgren as well as Chad Brown andVanessa Rousso. Schoenberg, formerly the better half of David Benyamine, and Rousso are two of only a handful of women that will take part in the Beer Pong Invitational. Other ladies scheduled to toss ping pong balls include Full TiltPoker pro Mandy Baker, Melanie Weisner, Vanessa Peng, former “Amazing Race” contestant Tiffany Michelle, and Lisa Parsons.

On the event’s Facebook page, a bevy of poker personalities have indicated they’ll be on-hand, including Nat Arem, Pam Brunson, Lee Watkinson, Poker News Daily’s Brett Collson, GreasieWheels’ Lisa Wheeler, and poker PR guru Lara Miller, who is handling media for the Brunson 10 throughout the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

Last year, Dan “Wretchy” Martin and Peter “#1PEN” Neff bested Todd Brunson and Jungblut in the finals. Here’s a look at several of the teams that will take to the beer pong tables on Wednesday, according to the event’s Facebook page:

The third annual Brunson Beer Pong Invitational serves as a lead-in to the 2010 WSOP, which kicks off on Friday with the first two of 57 bracelet events. Accordingly, the beer pong festivities will be filmed by ESPN and air as part of the network’s WSOP coverage.

Lui tried a very bizarre underhand shot, along with a “pong push shot” … none of which were that effective.  Her best shot might have been using beer pong distractions as Jimmy Fallon seems to have been practicing his beer pong, as he was in a groove.

While Liu actually had to work later in the night, she toughed out the game and drank her own beer.   So if you see Lucy Liu stumbling around on TV later, beer pong is to blame!

Beer Pong’s Ultimate Fan

A drinking game, beer pong requires players to toss pingpong balls across a table with the object of landing a ball in the opposing team’s cups of beer.

MillerCoors, in its lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Chicago yesterday, alleges that Bridgeport, Connecticut-based PB&J Design Inc. is selling tables, kegs full of beer pong balls, pitchers and cups featuring a logo similar to the brewer’s Lite beer marks.

Denver-based MillerCoors has accused PB&J Design of trademark infringement and unfair competition. It is seeking a court order barring the use of the logos it says are similar to its trademarked emblems together with an award of unspecified money damages.

“The target customers for MillerCoors and the defendant are the same,” the brewer said in its complaint. “Defendant’s use of marks strikingly similar to the MillerCoors marks is likely to cause confusion, mistake, or deception in the marketplace.”

The game implements are available for purchase on the Web site www.getbombed.com.

PB&J representatives didn’t immediately reply to voicemail messages seeking comment on the suit.

The case is MillerCoors LLC v. PB&J Design Inc., 10cv1034, in the Northern District of Illinois (Chicago)

Beer Pong Lawsuit… MillerCoors vs Bombed Beer Pong

Jimmy Fallon strikes first and hits one of Jessica’s cups. She’s a champ and pounds the beer like it’s nothing!

Just a few shots late Jimmy is able to put the nail in the coffin and hits a second cup, ending the game. In a an attempt to be closer to Jessica, Jimmy offers to chug the last beer with her. What a gentleman.
